Transportation to the Game

Access to the Rose Bowl Stadium can get crowded the day of the Rose Bowl Game. This page provides alternative methods of getting to the Rose Bowl Stadium.

  • Gold Line Light Rail Service

    The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates a light rail service to Pasadena via the Metro Gold Line.

    If you would like to take the Metro Gold Line to the game, exit the train at Memorial Park Station in Pasadena. Follow the signs for two blocks to the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO Shuttle pick-up location at Parsons. This shuttle will take you directly to the Rose Bowl Stadium. After the game, simply reverse your route.

  • Metrolink

    Metrolink trains arrive into Union Station where passengers must transfer to the Gold Line to get to the Rose Bowl.  Visit www.metrolinktrains.com for more information. 

  • Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO Shuttle and Parsons Parking

    On January 1, free shuttle buses are available at Parsons located at the corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Holly Street in Pasadena. The shuttle runs continuously from 10 a.m. until approximately two hours after the end of the game.

    There is a $40 parking charge per car at Parsons on game day. Reserved parking can be purchased in advance by visiting rosebowl.lazparking.com for a discounted price of $30. Overnight parking is also available for $60. Bus parking is available for $200 and RV parking is available for $250, $350 and $450 for one, two or three night stays, respectively.     Between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., there will be heavy traffic exiting Pasadena from Parsons and the adjacent Old Pasadena parking lots due to the Rose Parade. It is advisable to arrive into Pasadena to park at Parsons before 10 a.m. or after 11:30 a.m.

  • Drop-Off / Taxi Zone

    The designated drop-off, pick-up and taxi zone is on Holly Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Arroyo Parkway. Passengers may take the free Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO Shuttle to the stadium. There are no provisions for drop-offs and pick-ups at the stadium. All taxis or passenger cars entering the Rose Bowl Stadium area on January 1 will be required to pay the $40 parking fee.

     


Parking for the Game

Driving to the Rose Bowl Stadium can be very difficult due to the heavy Los Angeles and game day traffic flowing in and out of Pasadena. It is strongly advised to arrive at the Rose Bowl Stadium prior to 10 a.m. in order to avoid the traffic associated with the Rose Parade presented by Honda. Please do not underestimate the time it takes to drive in and around the area.

Parking is very limited at the Rose Bowl Stadium; please consider carpooling, using public transportation or the free shuttle service to the stadium. Heightened security may slow your entrance into the stadium.

  • Rose Bowl Stadium Parking

    Parking is $40 per car for the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO. Cars are parked on a golf course, north of the Rose Bowl Stadium. There is no reserved parking and cars may be stack-parked in rows of five (5) on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking lots open at 4 a.m. Other than designated overnight motorhome parking, there is no overnight parking at the Rose Bowl Stadium. In-and-out privileges are prohibited in all parking areas. Once you exit the parking lot, you will be required to pay the full parking fee upon re-entry.

  • Premium Seating Parking

    Parking is available for Club Seat and Suite holders in lots 5A and 5B. Lot 5A is designated for Suite holders, while Lot 5B is designated for Club Seat holders. Each lot will be identified by signage with its own entrance on game day. In the event of rain, the golf course lots may not be available for parking. Instead, street parking will be managed by the Pasadena Police Department. In inclement weather, please check Game Day Central at www.tournamentofroses.com/gamedaycentral, for up-to-date parking information and allow yourself additional time for parking or use the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO Shuttle.

  • Motorhome Parking

    Motorhomes will only be allowed into the Rose Bowl Stadium area via Linda Vista Avenue and Salvia Canyon. Parking will be directed along West Drive or in Brookside Park based on availability. The game day motorhome parking fee is $200. Game day motorhome parking opens at 4 a.m. on January 1.

    Prior to game day, overnight motorhome parking will be in Brookside Park, south of the Rose Bowl Stadium, beginning at noon on December 28, and closing at noon on January 2. Rates are based on date of arrival and are as follows: December 28 - $600; December 29 - $500; December 30 - $400; December 31 - $300; January 1 - $200 plus a one-time chargeof $40 for tow vehicles.

    Uninhabitable trailers including BBQ’s or restrooms are not permitted. The allowable space footprint is 16’ wide by the length of the motorhome. All units must be self-contained. There are no hook ups available. Prohibited trailers will be escorted to a storage yard, tagged and kept for safekeeping. The trailer will be available for pick-up beginning two hours after the end of the game. For more information, please contact the Rose Bowl Stadium at 626.577.3100.

  • Bus and Limo Parking

    Buses and limousines with pre-purchased parking passes will be allowed to enter the Rose Bowl Stadium via Seco Street from Linda Vista Avenue or by pre-designed parking directions accompanying the pre-purchased parking pass. All buses and limousines buying parking on game day must enter the Rose Bowl Stadium via Salvia Canyon from Linda Vista.

    Bus and limousine parking passes may be pre-purchased at a cost of $175 for limousines and $250 for buses. Order forms are available here or by calling 626.397.4220. On game day, bus parking (or any commercial vehicle over 23’ long) is $300 and limousine parking (or any commercial vehicle under 23’ long) is $230.

    Bus and limousine drop-offs are not available at the Rose Bowl Stadium. In-and-out privileges are prohibited. Once you exit the parking lot, you will be required to pay the full parking fee for buses and limousines upon re-entry.
