2010 Tournament of Roses Highlights
The 2010 Tournament of Roses events were as exciting as ever with the 121st Rose Parade, the 96th Rose Bowl Game, and the Citi BCS National Championship Game which kept the momentum going through the first week of January. Showcase events like Bandfest and Equestfest and the float decorating viewing helped Rose Parade fans kick off the celebrations early. Under national spotlight, the Parade certainly lived up to the 2010 theme, “A Cut Above the Rest” with snow boarding dogs, international bands and performers that drew cheers and smiles all along Colorado Boulevard. The Ohio State Buckeyes delivered Coach Jim Tressel’s fist Rose Bowl Championship by defeating the University of Oregon Ducks with a 26-17 win. Six days later, the Alabama Crimson Tide secured the college football national championship with a 37-21 win against the Texas Longhorns.
