The Lawry’s Beef Bowl is college football’s most enduring pre-bowl game tradition, inseparably linked to the overarching tradition of The Granddaddy of Them All. The Beef Bowl is a pair of private dinner events hosted annually by Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, honoring the players and coaches of each Rose Bowl-bound team. Attendees include Tournament of Roses officials, the Rose Queen and Royal Court and accredited media. Since its inception prior to the 1957 Rose Bowl Game, the Lawry’s Beef Bowl has evolved to become a veritable coronation event, a magnificent salute to each team’s gridiron achievements on their “Road to the Rose Bowl.” The 2013 Rose Bowl Game week will mark the 56th year of the Lawry’s Beef Bowl.
