A donation from Dewitt Stern Insurance and Firemen’s Fund Insurance Company in the amount of $15,000 allowed the Pasadena Fire Department to purchase a Rescue Cart designed to transport victims at large-scale events with big crowds. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses was instrumental in identifying the need for the new vehicle, specifically at the Rose Bowl stadium for the Tournament of Roses events and many others.
The vehicle is designed for first responders to carry equipment and gurney to almost any location and has the ability to move a patient to a waiting ambulance. The vehicle will be used heavily at the Rose Bowl Stadium for the Rose Bowl Game and other events.
