PASADENA, Calif. – In commemoration of the 100th Rose Bowl Game, the Tournament of Roses has announced
a special program to honor great players and coaches throughout the history of
The Granddaddy of Them All.
Members of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) will select one Rose Bowl Game representative from each decade to comprise an All-Century Class. In addition, one overall player and one overall coach will be
highlighted at a press conference on Selection Sunday, which will take place on December 8, 2013, in Pasadena.
“The FWAA is honored to participate in the celebration of the 100th Rose Bowl Game. Both organizations have assembled an esteemed voting panel that
has been assigned the difficult task of selecting the All-Century Class,” said FWAA President Chris Dufresne. “It will be exciting to see the weekly unveiling of players and coaches in advance of the final class announcement in December. We congratulate
all the nominees considered for selection and thank voters for devoting their time and expertise to this prestigious project.”
