The Cowgirls ride American Paint or Quarter Horses. The Cowgirls and their horses practice drills once to twice a week as their heavy performance schedule will allow. The Cowgirls Philanthropy includes taking miniature horses to the Handicaped Challenged Children's Rodeos. Their smallest mini, Little Bit, stands 22 inches tall and is all white.
Both American Paint and Quarter horse breeds are very athletic, performance breeds, with quiet minds, which makes them ideal choices for Drill Team work in the Rodeo Arena.
The Norco Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team is a rodeo speciaity act consisting of 12 women riding American Paint or Quarter horses. They perform high speed precision drill manuvers, like the Shoot the Arrow, Suicide Wheel and the Whip. They can be seen at the San Bernardino, Industry Hills and Hesperia PRCA Rodeos as well as many local events in Norco, Horsetown USA.
Founded in August 2008, The Norco Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team has made over 95 appearances to date. Devoted to their horses and being the #1 Drill team in California, the team’s goals are to have fun, build friendships, excel in their horsemanship, and to represent Norco Horsetown USA.
The Cowgirls are wearing fire red sequin shirts with satin cuffs and collars adorned with swaroski crystals, matching rodeo chaps, and white cowboy hats with baby red roses and white orchids. Notice that each saddle has a beautiful floral arrangement behind the cantel.
The Cowgirls all ride hand tooled Western saddles with matching Bridals, Breast Collars and Saddle Pads adorned with Sterling Silver Conchos, encrusted with Swaroski Crystals.

Most of the riders grew up riding horses and live in the small community of Norco, CA, Horsetown USA. In Norco, The Cowgirls can keep their horses in their backyards and enjoy the many miles of bridal trails and the Santa Ana Riverbed trails as well as many horse related community events, like Horseweek. The founder and drill captain Mychon Bowen is riding with her mother Mynon Sullivan today. Morgan Bowen, Mychon's 6 year old daughter sings the National Anthem abord her 16 hand horse at many of their shows. She was 4 years old the first time.
