BAND DESCRIPTION: 189 total, 3 drum majors, 61 brass, 20 percussion, 60 woodwinds, 17 banner carriers, 28 color guards.
The Jackson Memorial High School Jaguar Marching Band was formed in 1967. Since its inception, the band has had only two band directors - Thomas Hutchinson (1967-1982) and Harold "Bud" McCormick (1983 – present). Notable performances include their 2012 performance for the Microsoft Grand Opening in Freehold, NJ featuring Lupe Fiasco and Cee Lo Green, the 2012 Drumline performance at a private memorial service for Levon Helm in Woodstock, NY, and participation many parades including the 2011 Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington DC, the 2010 IKEA Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 2008 NY Giants Ticker Tape Parade and the 2005 George Bush Inaugural Parade.
The band has received many awards including the 2011 Group 6A Champion at USSBA, the Yahama Cup in East Rutherford, NJ, the 2010 Esprit de Corp Award at USSBA Nationals in Annapolis, MD and the 2010 Central Jersey Regional Champions, Group VI at TCNJ.

PREVIOUSW APPEARANCES: This is the first appearance in the Rose Parade for the Jackson Memorial High School Jaguar Band.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Harold "Bud" McCormick has been the Jackson Jaguar band director since 1983. He has been nominated for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" seven times. Bud was a member of Santa Clara Vanguard - DCI World Champions and the Reading Buccaneers – DCA World Champions. Bud's dedication to the band and its members is second to none. He is a visionary, leading his 180+ students in memorable and moving performances; often challenging our youth with the most difficult musical pieces that no other bands would attempt. This past year Bud was nominated by the United States Marine Corps of Washington DC as one of the top 3 Music Programs in the State of NJ.
