FLOAT DESCRIPTION: Height: ,Width: 18, Length: 55

The City of Los Angeles is proud to join LAneXT in our 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade float “Making Connections”. The float is symbolic of how many places can lead you out of our terminals at LAX and how many places you can come from when you travel to Los Angeles via LAX.
“Making Connections” is so indicative of how LAX is a bridging point no matter where you are in the world. You can either travel to a destination leaving our airport, or you can fly into LAX being able to take in all that our wonderful city has to offer. The sixth busiest airport in the world, LAX definitely is a place that you will be “Making Connections” to reach out wherever your destination may be.
The centerpiece of the float is the New Tom Bradley International Terminal. A key piece to the International Travel at LAX, the terminal will provide the Los Angeles region the world-class transportation facility is so rightfully deserves. “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” is truly a sentiment that we thought about in our $4.11 Billion dollar enhancement.
Every piece of “Making Connections” deals with many iconic figures in Los Angeles that are featured at LAX. The front end of the float is the gateway entrance to the airport known as the LAX Pylons. The multi-colored pylons welcome all who travel to LAX. Two palm trees follow the pylons. The center of the float is known as the Theme Building, which has been home to The Encounter Restaurant since 1997.
Right behind that is a street sign that contains all 25 of the city’s sister cities (listed below). The rear of the float features the New Tom Bradley International Terminal (scheduled to open in March of 2013). On top of it a 767 Boeing jet. Two palm trees bring up the back of the float.
